Mark JP Murphy Fine Artist, Calderdale, West Yorkshire.

Mark Murphy was born in Welwyn Garden City in Hertfordshire in 1952 and now lives and works in West Yorkshire. He has been a practicing artist since the mid 1970’s, mainly working on landscapes, transcriptions, some political images and more recently portraits.

Mark attended art schools in St Albans and Liverpool and has taught art in schools since the early 1980’s. He has been exhibiting work successfully since the late 1980’s and has work in both private and public collections including several works represented in the Calderdale Contemporary Collection based at Bankfield Museum, Halifax.
